Side-Entry Trunnion Ball Valve Design
The side-entry configuration provides access to the internal valve components through a bolted body construction. The valve can be manufactured in forged or cast designs with two-piece or three-piece bolted bodies.
Unlike a floating ball design, the trunnion-mounted ball is supported at both ends. This configuration helps manage the mechanical load on the ball and supports operation in high-pressure applications.
